Chase Neely is an accomplished designer, educator, and adjudicator whose work has become a fixture across the marching arts in Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. His music and designs have been performed by multiple state finalist ensembles, recognized for their energy, clarity, and musical depth.
Chase’s design work spans full percussion arranging, drill writing, electronic design, and program coordination for numerous ensembles throughout the region. His percussion writing is especially praised for being creative, programmatic, and deeply connected to overall show design, while remaining accessible and effective for groups of all ability levels. This unique balance makes Mr. Neely a sought-after voice in the marching arts, where his work enhances both the competitive impact and storytelling of the ensembles he collaborates with.
As a composer, Mr. Neely has had original works performed at the National Conference on Percussion Pedagogy and the College Music Society Northwest Convention, further establishing his voice as both a creative artist and educator. His performance background includes the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps, Gateway Indoor Percussion (WGI), the Kansas City Royals: “Royal Thunder” Drumline, the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas.
Chase is an Educational Artist for Marimba One and Vic Firth, and an active member of the Percussive Arts Society, National Association for Music Education, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
He resides in Southwest Missouri with his wife, Ashley, and their two daughters. Chase enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors, where he finds balance and inspiration that carry into his creative and professional work.
