Jay Koupal

Jay Koupal is an Assistant Director of Bands in the Manhattan Ogden Schools in Manhattan, Kansas. There he is privileged to be part of a four-member team who co-teach all facets of the band program grades 6-12. He previously has taught band in Ohio and Michigan. 

He holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Capital University. He additionally has done doctorate course work at Kansas State University. He marched with The Bridgemen in 1985 and was part of the visual staff for Dutch Boy Drum & Bugle corps during the 1987 season. He was also a visual staff member with the Plymouth-Canton High School Marching from 1986-1990. 

Jay is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force Band program. He is thrilled to be part of the team helping to bring the Sky Ryders back to Kansas.
