Simon Walrod

Simon Walrod is an active percussion educator and performer in the Topeka area and is excited to be joining Sky Ryders this season as a Front Ensemble technician. Simon is also the drumline and front ensemble instructor for the Shawnee Heights High School marching band, and percussion instructor at Holton High School.

Simon is finishing his bachelor’s in Music Education at Washburn University, and has participated in their Percussion Group, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Jazz Band. Simon also spent the summer of 2025 with the River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps.
