Arlo Kinsey
Arlo is a music educator, conductor, and percussionist from the Kansas City, Kansas area. He currently works as a substitute teacher in the Kansas City area and is the Assistant Conductor of the Kansas City Kansas Community Orchestra.
Arlo's passion for music stems from a family that loves the arts and a childhood full of Stevie Wonder, the Beatles, and his namesake Arlo Guthrie. With these musical inspirations, he also has been involved as a drum set player in multiple combo bands. Arlo was on drumline in high school at Shawnee Mission North and in college at Pittsburg State University. He graduated with his degree in music education, emphasis in percussion, in May of 2024. During and after his time at Pitt State, he has worked with many high school percussion sections, in both Missouri and Kansas.
Arlo enjoys spending time with his other half, his family, and friends. He also enjoys performing regularly in ensembles such as the Crossroads Wind Symphony, Overland Park Civic Band, and others. In his free time, he plays plenty of video games, cooks with his partner, and dreams about getting a dog.
Arlo is very excited to explore the world of Drum Corps and eager to support the new revival of the Sky Ryders.
