Kale White

Kale was born in Larned, KS.  His family soon moved to Oklahoma where he has lived since, but he welcomes any opportunity to visit his extended family that remain in central Kansas.  Kale first saw the Sky Ryders at a DCI show in OKC in the late 1970's and immediately set a goal to someday be a member of the crowd-pleasing corps.  He marched snare with the Sky Ryders in 1980 and '81, and tenors in '83.  He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Music Education and was a graduate assistant with the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band while pursuing a Masters in Music Education.  Kale taught band in Purcell, Owasso, the Putnam City Schools, and retired after 18 years at Jenks, where he lives with his wife, Mary, and their two sons,  He is currently an Educational Representative for Palen Music Center in Broken Arrow, OK.
